Richard Nixon got nailed for covering up Watergate; during the Reagan years, EPA Chief Rita Lavalle, went to prison for destroying documents about the dioxin coverup; and Enron and Arthur Andersen got busted shredding tons of audit documents, even as the inquiry was already underway by SEC investigators.
