Is It Just an NFL Crisis?

Dec 19, 2013

An update from ABC This Week on Football’s Concussion Crisis – with a Who’s Who guest list:

IF the NFL does not begin to provide real compensation to retired players and their families for their brain injuries they received playing in the NFL then football has NO future. No more illusionary benefits. We don’t want charity! We are seeking restitution from the league for concealing the dangers of repeated blows to the head. Justice now for retired players!

Good journalism by ABC! These are the facts: Retired NFL players will get $800 million A YEAR for 20 Years, because it is easy to prove the causation of playing football equates to tau protein build-up or tauopathy or CTE, a form of dementia. A reasonable person could easily conclude this! Tau Protein deposits have been researched and measured using ELISA kits since 1993. Put 2 and 2 together and it is easy before a jury.
The NFL can bring 10 scientist, we can get the opinions of 1,000 national and international doctors that overwhelmingly agree concerning the reality of tau protein deposits or the “spots” the neurologist was speaking of in the video. IT IS A SCIENTIFIC FACT and some people or scientist are “playing dumb”, to stall. Check my facts.

Let me be clear….the $800 million A YEAR for 20 YEARS would be deposited in a CO-OP insurer and managed by a 3rd entity that would be neutral for both parties and voted on. The CO-OP insurer would be set up to meet the needs of retired player’s medical conditions, medical claims, and perscriptions. The CO-OP could be called the “NFL/PLAYERS INSURANCE – we got you covered” – the CO-OP would manage retired players conditions and therapies, negotiate medical costs ( like WalMart ), and allow public participation to buy policies and contribute premiums OR ALSO CALLED REVENUE! A fan’s sports memorbillia could actually be a health policy paperwork with a retired players picture embossed and a real signature on the policy paper ( Additional revenue and value ) Retired players can do community involvement concerning signing up people to the ACA on the Exchanges and act as Navigators – It is a win/win situation for the NFL & Retired Players
