IFV 2013: Dr. Bennet Omalu on CTE and Football

May 4, 2013

Dr. Bennet Omalu was the first pathologist to uncover the presence of CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) in the brains of retired football players. It all started when Mike Webster’s body ended up on his examination table in Pittsburgh in 2002. As assistant coroner in Pittsburgh at the time, Dr. Omalu sought permission to examine Webster’s brain. In the years following, several more retired football players bodies arrived in their morgue including Andree Waters. Since then, Dr. Omalu has become the chief coroner in San Joaquin and has continued his work on CTE and advancing the study of brain trauma in society in general and football in particular. The NFL has been trying to discredit Dr. Omalu for over 10 years. Dr. Omalu is probably on the NFL’s Top 10 Most Hated List with the NFL. You can read his biography by clicking HERE.

Bennet is a man of the highest integrity who is swayed by no one but God.

The NFL tried for years not only to disparage his work but to assassinate his character.

Great job, Bennet. We need more honest scientists like yourself who will call it like they see it despite what the NFL tries to make them say.

Where was “Dr. NO” Ira Casson when Dr. Bennet Omalu discovered CTE (bad brain)?

The NFL’s “Dr. NO” spent his time claiming that there was no scientific evidence that repeated blows to the head caused brain damage and dementia and then tried to submit his “claims” and “studies” to everyone in his feeble attempts to use bad science to discredit Dr. Omalu.

“Dr. NO” should lose his license to practice medicine and added to the concussion lawsuits for fraud!

“Dr. NO” – you’ve been nothing more than a quack with no sense of shame or remorse for violating your hippocratic oath as a doctor.
