And what can you expect from the NFL as it continues to fight any and all Workers Compensation claims aggressively?

CONCUSSIONS: UPDATES AND LATEST INFORMATION FROM THE EXPERTS
.
Nothing has ever taken the spotlight from football season like the subject of concussions. In spite of their massive PR efforts and money, the League hasn’t been able to slow down the advancing wave of mainstream media coverage that’s accompanied the growing concussion lawsuits. We have several of the leading medical and neurological experts participating on this panel to discuss the latest findings that the NFL wants to continue denying.
.
CONCUSSIONS: LAWSUIT NEWS & UPDATES
.
Regardless of whether or not you’ve filed a concussion lawsuit, you’ll want to hear the latest news and updates on what’s happening in the courtrooms across the country from our panel of legal experts.
.
WHO OWNS YOU: A BASIC PRIMER ON YOUR RIGHTS, LICENSING & ROYALTIES
.
Retired players won a class action lawsuit against the NFLPA and Electronic Arts in 2010 because the Union and EA were shown to have intentionally defrauded the players of their licensing royalties. Since that suit, the NFL and NFL Films has recently been sued for withholding royalties from retired players with each copy of old games that they sell. Why is it that musicians get royalties every time their songs are played or their music is sold? And how is it that television and movie actors continue to collect royalties from their roles in shows and movies every time their roles are broadcast or shown anywhere? Football players have needed a primer on rights, licensing and royalties that your Union has neither informed you about or enforced for you. This is a Licensing Rights 101 that each of you should have gotten years ago and something neither the NFL nor the NFLPA ever want retired – and active – players to know!
.
FOOTBALL: TRUE STORIES ABOUT WHAT PLAYING CONDITIONS WERE REALLY LIKE IN THE OLD DAYS
.
We close off this year’s Conference with a discussion on the real game of football as recounted by players from back in the 60’s and 70’s. We want this discussion to be as widely and openly viewed to educate fans young and old as well as the youngest generation of incoming players, all of whom are clueless about what the old-timers went through for nothing more than a love of the game. Be ready to hear about the earliest days of playing on the original AstroTurf fields and how much (or how little) everyone was actually paid in the old days.
.
CONFERENCE BANQUET
.
Our sponsors will also be hosting a full dinner for all of our attendees and guests on Saturday evening where we’ll continue with our closing True Stories discussion. Each of our guests will be invited to take 3 minutes to share your funniest football story.

This sounds like there’s going to be a wealth of information being given and I would like to be a part of it; but unfortunately, I will not be able to attend.

Even though I’m 73, I am still having to work to help support my family and I don’t get paid for time off! Hope everyone that makes it there has a great time and I’ll be looking forward to reading about it here.

Thanks to everyone who is working so hard to help all of us.
