I, Tommy Nobis, have a story to tell but because overall, the game of football was very good to me and my family, I’m having to do some soul searching with regard to my story being a negative towards the game I loved. I’m thinking as well as I can to make the right decision.

    Tommy -

We can love the game but we don’t have to love everyone who played in it or worked in the front office. We encourage you to share your story with us (and that goes for all our readers). If we speak passionately and from the heart like we played the game, it will always come across that way to everyone. When we first started this Blog five years ago, my personal stories were all we had to post. But more and more players read them and also finally realized they were not alone in their poor treatment by the League and the Union. Over time, we started receiving – and posting – more stories about how most of us have been treated so poorly (or just plain ignored) in our post-career lives and completely opposite to the common myth that all of us were retired happily ever after.

Please send us your story and it will be an honor to post it up for you – you may be pleasantly surprised to see how many of your fellow retired players agree.
