Oops – We were simply trying to keep everyone updated on the latest filings on the concussion lawsuits. But as soon as this post went up, a lot of our readers are already inquiring about how to sign up with a firm that we would recommend.

To save all the time it would take to get back to each of your inquiries, we’re suggesting that any retired players who haven’t yet retained a law firm to consider the attorney whose firm started these suits against the NFL, NFL Properties AND Riddell. They’ve written the majority of the original filings that many other firms have simply copied for their own filings. You might notice that the latest briefs in this post also originated from them and were then submitted for filing by the Executive Committee of all the attorneys now enjoined in the lawsuits.

The question you want to ask yourself is: Do you want to be represented by someone who actually did all the homework and wrote all the original filings because they truly understood all of your issues? Or do you want someone who’s jumped on the bandwagon just to get a piece of the action by riding someone else’s coattails without understanding what it really takes to fight for you in court?
