GLA Lawsuit: Final Paperwork Filed

Oct 7, 2010

.

For everyone who has been anxiously waiting for more news on the final GLA Players Inc. lawsuit settlement checks – the final round of paperwork and motions were recently filed with the court in San Francisco on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010. One of the documents is a proposed final order awaiting Judge Alsup’s approval and signature so it looks like Garden City Group should be sending those checks out within the week, barring any further unforeseen problems or delays. Apparently, they even had two more last-minute class members whose paperwork arrive AFTER the June 1st deadline and they were added to the final disbursement list.

There are five documents in this recent filing:

    Dave,

I want to thank all who were involved in getting this done. So many of us just didn’t have the power to get any attention on our problems from our playing days. Some of the younger guys might not know this but the checks we’re receiving are worth more than we earned while playing back in the 50′s & 60′s! I’m sure that all of us older guys can use these dollars!

As we grow older, our pain is getting greater. Now that we’re in our REALLY older years and we have more pain from back then.

Thanks to all of you again and especially you, Dave.
