Larry,

I'm glad to know you are getting the assistance you have long needed. As a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic, I have had occasion to see a few former professional ball players who have lasting medical damage from years of hard play and recurring injuries.

God Bless,
Mary McGrath

Larry -

Gregg Bingham here... Long time no see... I read here what happened to you with your brain and by your comments I conclude I will get the chance to catch up in person someday soon... BTW speaking of brain damage. Are you sure that Blocking Bill Yanchar didn't do that to you... LOL. One more thing - while I understand Captain Larry's isn't official any more, we'll have to do a private cruise instead. OK?

Larry,

I'm glad you were able to make it to Dr. Amen's clinic. The service he offers current and former players is invaluable. We are all very thankful for his help on not just diagnosing problems (we all know we have problems), but also in formulating a game plan to get us back on track.

Having dealt with the side effects of my 9 (and counting) brain surgeries the last 28 years, I am beginning to show improvement by following Dr. Amen's recommendations from my October evaluation. He first weaned me off the cocktail of anti-seizure, memory and sleep aid drugs I was on. I am now only taking Lamictil for my grand mal seizures. In addition, Dr. Barry Sears has been sending me his Zone Health Omega 3s and antioxidants, which in combination with Hyperbaric oxygen treatments I started 7 weeks ago, I am beginning to actually recall things from last week. I received an e-mail today from Dr. Julian Bailes and Dr. Barry Sears, relaying a scientific study they conducted on the effects of Omega 3's on restoring damaged neurons and neurotransmitters.

May not sound like much to most, but huge for me, and could be for 1,000's of voiceless brain-damaged ex ball players at all levels of play.

My original SPECT scan showed major damage to most of the lobes of my brain and I am now looking forward to my second scan on April 14, to compare results after I complete 40 hyperbaric treatments.

All of you who read this should contact Dr. Amen and Dr. Barry Sears. Both of these gentlemen, though not miracle workers by any stretch of the imagination, can literally change your life. The problems I have from my damages have caused incredible damage to my family and business relationships. I am deeply indebted to both these gentlemen, and would encourage all to take the steps necessary to get your lives back.

Also look into Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatments (HBOT). At $300 a pop, it's a no-brainer (excuse the pun).

Good luck to all, and many thanks to Drs. Amen, Sears, Bailes and Omalu for all their hard work on bringing to light and taking steps to prevent and treat brain injuries.

Thank you Larry!

It takes courage to stand firm for justice. Retired players continue to come forward and speak up about their life-changing football injuries and the injustices by the NFL.

Thank you to Dr. Amen for this valuable and generous offer of a brain scan at no cost to retired NFL Players.

The NFL is a $40,000,000,000 business (and growing) that generates over $8,000,000,000 in revenue annually and is still not sure if repeated blows to the head cause brain injuries.

Dr. Amen is a benevolent doctor who cares about the serious injuries players receive from being hit in the head.

Too bad the GREEDY NFL only cares about the bottom line and the point spread.

Regards,
Dave & Heidi Pear
