<img src="http://www.davepear.com/images/DaveCaneSM.jpg" alt="Dave Pear" />
The brain injury coverup that the NFL has willingly participated in for at least the past 82 years is no longer a secret!

Football is hazardous to your health and repeated blows to the head will cause brain damage.

"A 1928 medical journal paper started a drumbeat of research into head injuries in athletes, continuing throughout the 20th century and intensifying in the last decade. The 82-year-old study, by Dr. Harrison Martland, remains frequently cited by researchers today, partly for its meticulous examination of damaged brains."

Just like the tobacco industry mislead and covered up the harmful effects of smoking cigarettes for as long as they could, so has the NFL done with concussions and brain injuries.

Why? The answer is GREED!

Gene Upshaw willingly continued this breach of fiduciary duty as the Executive Director of the NFLPA (remember the Players Inc. swindle? ) as he sold out his football brothers and left us in a lurch with no remorse.

Whether it was disability, pensions or medical after football, Gene made up his own rules and quoted laws that did not exist in order to benefit himself and his minions.

This fraud continues to create a hardship and untold suffering and misery to retired players and their families.

When will the league begin to pay restitution to retired players and their families (especially the disabled players) for their despicable crimes being perpetrated against the makers of the game: the retired NFL players?

Sincerely,
Dave & Heidi Pear
