1) PENSION BENEFITS GREATER THAN BASEBALL &
2) WORLD CLASS DISABILITY BENEFITS.

We’ve all earned it… and the owners have the money. And I can assure you without complete unity and assistance from the press, the public and from the U.S. Congress, they won’t part with a dime and their representative, Mr. Goodell, will simply continue to play us all for fools.

While reading my local newspaper (Naples Daily News) today, I noticed an ad for a hospital fundraiser. It included sponsors’ names at various levels. Second to highest (Super Director’s Club) was the “National Football League Alumni, Inc.” Guess they have money to contribute (and impress people) because they can write it off as a donation for tax purposes.

Silly me. I always thought “Charity begins at home”. Maybe it does, but not once you retire from the NFL and need medical help. Maybe we should visit a fundraiser for assistance?

I would sincerely like to thank both of you for your generous invitation to the Love Fest but unfortunately, I’m currently having trouble remembering what town I’m supposed to be meeting Dr. Omalu next Thursday (no joke), and cannot remember for the life of me where your big party is going to be.

The league (Owners, NFL and the NFLPA) continue to be defiant and show little or no remorse.

The solution is pension/disability reform and medical after football. The pensions would at least match (MLB) baseball and the disability system should be unique to our industry and administered legitimately.

However, the grave errors and GREED committed by the league are profound and certainly aren’t being addressed.

Now, Congress is talking about removing their anti-trust exemption!

If the NFL just paid their bills then their problems would be few. And I have no doubt they’d certainly still make a lot of money!

Goodell’s got his Covington & Burling orders to slow walk…delay…dismiss… deny…divert..talk about the 88 Plan, the cheap out-of-court settlement for brain injury disability. Now De Smith seems to have publicly joined the 88 PR scam in a desperate search for a talking point. No, De. The solution is actually very simple: Completely redesign the disability plan to suit professional football and raise the NFL Players pension plan to at least match that of baseball. De’s strategy is say ‘Yes’ to everyone but do nothing while hiring new lawyers from his old law firms since he knows he’s surrounded by outlaws who have no loyalty to him. De Smith’s answer to retired players issues also seems to be the old tobacco tango: We don’t cause cancer. Our studies, our paid-for doctors, and paid-for experts all say so…

Are there actually 180 retired player so foolish as to participate in Goodell’s latest scam?
