Congratulations -

Our player problem is unsolvable without addressing the the so-called 'Race Card' issue. I feel the negative statement 'race card' is in reality the opposite of the other 'cards' that help divide us like Money, Love, Age, Opportunities, Labor and Management or Skin Tone. I feel that all the problems can be best discussed with some of us realizing our issues lie on the side of Kings (Management) and the rest of us on the side of Serfs (Labor) or Commoners. We may switch sides back-and-forth throughout our lives but our financial interests will always serve either Labor or Management. So be aware which side you are supporting during this game of life.

So let's get on with the game and shake hands after the Big Game is over, as we should.

I am on the outside looking in and the "Race Card" should definitely be discussed openly. We keep tip toeing around it and ignoring it like it is going away.

You men are traveling a long, long road and if you are scared of the TRUTH, you need to take the exit that reads "ROAD TO NOWHERE."

Current players will soon be retired players and if things don't change they'll be in the same position as retired players are in now and that is with a union that will NOT support or represent you!

The language in the courts that jurors found the NFLPA Leadership to be guilty of in the Players Inc. trial included such phrases as "malicious and oppressive conduct with evil motive," and "conduct that was outrageous and grossly fraudulent."

This is your Union. We encourage ALL players not to base their trust on credulity.

Look at their track record. Don't be fooled by their marketing gimmicks.

Sincerely,
Dave & Heidi Pear

Communication is the key...

As a former member of the striking class of 1987, I know what it means to sacrifice for the benefit of others. We can just hope that the ties that bound hard working men together years ago are similar to those that hard-working young men today consider important. Teamwork, loyalty, tradition, even patriotism are the qualities which I hope are as common in today's athletes as they have been in the history of our country.

Frank,

We hope that like MLB, we will be able to move the time required to become vested all the way back to ONE (1) year. It can be done. I hope that you will work with us.

Walt,

Both Dave Pear and Bernie Parrish are supporting this effort and you know the concerns that you stated are at the forefront of their work. No one has ever mistaken them, or me, as being soft on anything. What we are working toward in the Re-Unification Project is a way to bring about change in the areas that you spoke of by adding another wing to our fight. I am still very much on board and constantly in touch with Bernie and the legal thrust that he is working on. Get my number from him if you would like to talk. This will not be a "candy sweet" forget-about-giving-us-our-money program. It certainly isn't going to hurt to try and get the Active Players to support us though.

I know things that you have to say and experiences that you have had can help us show them that our fight is not with them, as Gene and others had them believe for so long.

Kathy,

Thank you and Lucious for your participation in and support of the Movement. A lot of people talk about how bad we've been treated but talk is cheap. I know that you are for real and I respect and appreciate your participation in the Summit in Vegas.

Dear Bob,

You keep giving me hope for fair and equal retired player participation and sharing of benefits from one of the largest sports corporations in the world. Keep up the good work!

Gentlemen!

Before we start holding hands, back slapping and hand clapping, we should stay focused on: Pensions equal to Major League Baseball and a decent disability program...

Millions of dollars have been diverted, misdirected etc. There is a criminal element that must be dealt with...

As a retired player, who should I talk to in regard to petitioning for retired players with less than 4 years to receive equal benefits to that of vested players?
