<img src="http://media3.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2008/01/29/PH2008012901050.jpg" alt="Dave Ring" />
Thanks to John Hogan for being a champion for justice and for having the moxie to speak the truth. As the drama between the NFLPA Leadership and retired players continues to unfold, the outcry for justice becomes louder!

The NFLPA Leadership continues to act like it is still business-as-usual in light of the fact that a Federal jury 3 months ago ordered the NFL Players Assn. to pay $28.1 million in damages to retired players after determining that the union defrauded them out of their royalties in the Players Inc. scandal. Attorney Ron Katz quoted language in the courts that the jurors found the union to be guilty of included such phrases as "malicious and oppressive conduct with evil motive," and "conduct that was outrageous and grossly Fraudulent!

Thank You, Ron Katz and your firm for convicting these cocksure impostors of (Breaching their Fiduciary Responsibility) and stealing from retired players.

Next, Sarah Gaunt inappropriately quoted Upshaw, who used to say, “When these guys are has-beens, they’re permanently has-beens.” Will she start using Upshaw's dog food comparison of retired players next? How about breaking someone's neck or putting a target on their back? They were all more Upshaw quotes.

This total disregard for retired players is an ongoing way of life for our union. However, the winds of change are blowing and a GAO (Government Accountability Office) audit will make transparent the fraud and corruption that is pervasive throughout the NFPLA Leadership.

Sincerely,
Dave & Heidi Pear

This is an excellent summary, Mr. Hogan. I plan on forwarding it to the Chapter Officers and my fellow Steering Committee members of the NFLPA Retired Player Association. We should be receiving this kind of information from the NFLPA.

An organization that calls itself an educational institution but that presents only one point of view will never be a 'has been' because, in my opinion, it is a 'never was and never will be.'
