Hello Fellas,
Right now, I’m laughing so hard I can hardly stand up. Tonight, I just heard some of the names the guys back at the NFLPA are now calling us. These guys are either too stupid or too angry to see us as anything but a threat. They are all cowards and they’ve really never had the best interests of Retired Players at heart. They’re so afraid that we’re a posse riding all of them down until they think that Jesse James, Frank James, John Dillinger, Gene Upshaw and all of their other role models had the right to do the kind of things that the Jury up in San Francisco found The NFLPA and Players, Inc. guilty of.
If they were really smart, they would stop trying to defend crooked policies toward us – as evidenced recently by a Federal Court Jury – and get on the right side of this fight.
These guys are hateful cowards who are only trying to hold on to their “Judas Money” and the positions that they presently hold.
Don’t be deceived by these Traitors. Don’t allow them to suck you in and make you look like a fool. The way that they look at it, if we prevail, they lose and they’re saying that they “will spend as much as it takes to stop us.” (That is an exact quote.)
If the NFL and the NFLPA were really sincere about helping Retired Players, we wouldn’t have to negotiate and bargain with them; they would just MATCH MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL’S PLAN for their Retired Players. We wouldn’t have to drag them into Court to get them to do the right thing. They would stop fighting against their own and just do the right thing.
And we shouldn’t have to beg the Active Players to support us and investigate on their own.
Lawyer Kessler and that crowd are encouraging them to keep fighting because he’s getting paid and he wants to keep getting paid whether he wins or loses. I was in San Francisco when he said that he intended to preserve the Legacy of Upshaw (!) and show that the Retired Players were lying and/or undeserving of a nickel. Right now, he’s trying to sell them again on the idea that he can appeal the verdict and win the next time. For another fee, of course.
I never once heard Kessler say that he also wanted to preserve the Legacy of Bernie Parrish, Abner Haynes or Herb Adderley. What are they? “DOG FOOD?” Gene was wrong to call them that and “Pencil Neck Kessler” was wrong to try and justify Gene having called them such.
If they were real men, they would just come right out on the NFLPA website and publicly call us all of the nasty names that they are calling us privately. I can assure you I’m not making any of this up.
Thank you, Tony for all that you have done. Thank you, Brent, thank you Dave, thank you Jeff, thank you Herb, thank you Walt, thank you Abner, thank you Bruce and thank you Bernie. I hope you will FIGHT on because there are a lot of guys who are counting on you. We don’t have to agree on every point but we can all agree that we have been – and are still – being taken advantage of.
